2.Browsing the web safely is the most important feature in e - commerce . Secure Socket Layer ( SSL ) is a protocol used for secure web browsing . Both of these protocols to facilitate the use of encryption for confidential data and helps ensure the integrity of information exchanged between websites and web brwoser ( eg Netscape , Interner Explorer , etc. ) .
